A lot of what people are doing is trying to fit other kinds of content, shoehorn that into the bottle of the Internet. What we’ve been working very hard at is to figure out what the native form to the internet is, what is the way it wants to tell stories?

Besides throwing up obligatory self-promotional websites, I make Alternate Reality Entertainment. I’m Senior Designer at Fourth Wall Studios, an occasional Transmedia storytelling (*not* franchising) speaker/lecturer, and Founding Partner of No Mimes Media. Up until 2008, I was at 42 Entertainment as Director of Experience Design.

I’ve worked on projects for CiscoWatchmen, Nine Inch Nails and Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead Man’s Chest, but I guess most notably, I was the Lead Experience Designer for Why So Serious, the alternate reality game for the film The Dark Knight. See here for a more complete list of stuff…
