Last summer, we saw the David Fincher film Zodiac while on vacation in Catalina. I had absolutely zero expectations about the film, but was really blown away by how absolutely creepy and immersive it was, and how effectively it recreated San Francisco of the 70’s.
One thing I just learned about was the meticulously crafted, extensive CGI that was used throughout the film. Watching it, I had no clue that many of the locations weren’t really locations at all. Well, just watch the video to see what I mean.
I think I’m going to need to go out and get the newly released Director’s Cut Special Edition, now.
